• Chessboard – Tool needed: Table saw, biscuit cutter, miter box and saw, block plane. Cut all chessboard blocks out of solid wood using table saw with help from biscuit cutter when necessary. For sides of board that will have alternating strips in widths wider than 1 inch (2.5 cm), use miter box to make sure they are square and accurate cuts into widths wanted. Use block plane to smooth out all surfaces after assembly is complete making sure there are no cracks or mismatch joints between individual blocks. Finally stain boards if desired before putting it together with glue and nails/screws.
Advanced Woodworking Projects:
• Upholstered Chair – Tools needed: Scroll saw or bandsaw depending on your skillset, wood clamps and vise grips, chisels/chop/block saws for detail work, upholstery stapler for fabric attachment to chair frame come in handy too but not necessary if not experienced at it yet). Drawing out a plan for your chair beforehand is useful so that you can measure exact dimensions needed during construction process ” especially when it comes down routing pieces like the arm rests etc in order to achieve neat curves along those pieces when completed After shaping wood according to your plan with scroll saw / bandsaw then cut seat piece accordingly too so that it fits neatly onto other chair parts ” also ensure any mortises/tenons used while joining these together are accurate and securely held otherwise your end result won’t look great regardless how much time you spent shaping each piece Making sure seat padding/fabric chosen is well adhered on frame once ready before nailing down any backrest components will give structure more stability too
